Course Audience

Course Objectives
- Provide an understanding of the economic environment and its impact on strategy formulation in operations and logistics management.
- Offer experiential analysis to understand the challenges faced by CEOs and General Managers when adapting to changing economic conditions in fleet management, goods and services management, and workforce or skills relocation.
- Provide practical ideas and tools for understanding the forces shaping local and global economies, including government regulations, international relations, global consumers, global production and international business within the context of operations and logistics.
- Examine the impact of economic policies on managerial decision-making, including fiscal policy and local and global economic issues affecting the operation and movement of goods and services.
Important: This course emphasises strategic managerial decision-making in operations and logistics. It does not focus on mathematical models or highly technical analysis.
